Beckhoff at EuroBlech

Approximately 1,500 exhibitors from 40 countries from around the globe presented their latest technologies at EuroBlech 2016. The technology exhibition for the sheet metal working industry, which takes place in Hannover every two years, once again drew an international audience of more than 60,000 trade professionals. “Despite the slight decline in exhibitor numbers, the exhibition was very well visited, as was clearly evidenced by the increase in visitor numbers. We saw a lot of decision-makers and technical experts at our booth,” comments Franek Dodek, Industry Sales Manager Sheet Metal Working at Beckhoff.

Beckhoff technology could be seen at many different booths all over the exhibition grounds: many exhibitors presented their sheet metal working machines with Beckhoff control systems solutions. “As a globally active company, EuroBlech’s international focus is very important to us. Our subsidiaries worldwide use the exhibition as a platform on which to stay in touch with their existing customers and to establish new contacts on location,” continues Franek Dodek.

With the “Next Generation of Sheet Metal Working” as its main theme, this year’s exhibition was all about Industrie 4.0. As a result, the Beckhoff show booth focused primarily on the topics of production efficiency, increased process quality and production flexibility on the basis of Industrie-4.0-enabled products and solutions. “The presentation of TwinCAT IoT and TwinCAT Analytics for real-time acquisition of process data and the advantages that result, for predictive maintenance, for example, attracted a lot of visitor interest,” explains Franek Dodek.

Beckhoff, however, also met the demand for complete solutions at EuroBlech with the new eBend Panel, the turnkey solution for press brakes, which enables users to start work immediately and saves a lot of engineering time.
