On March 14 the ISH 2015 trade show came to an end at the Frankfurt exhibition centre in Germany. Once again, the world's leading trade fair for innovative bathroom design, energy, efficient heating and air-conditioning technology and renewable energies focused on energy efficiency and the resulting savings potential. With 198,000 visitors over five days, ISH 2015 set a new attendance record. The increase in exhibitors and visitors from abroad once again underlined the international standing of ISH. It was the second time that Beckhoff had a presence at the biennial trade show, demonstrating its competence as an automation partner in the field of HVAC solutions.
PC- and Ethernet-based control technology from Beckhoff has become firmly established in building automation. The integrated automation concept with hardware and software modules for all building services offers maximum flexibility with low engineering costs. Its uses include on-demand lighting, room comfort settings and highly efficient HVAC control.
With its presence at this year's ISH 2015, Beckhoff demonstrated its competence as an automation partner for optimising HVAC solutions and presented examples of its productive collaboration with renowned companies such as Danfoss (actuators), Trox (central AHUs), Sokratherm (cogeneration plants) and Hoval (HVAC systems). Beckhoff not only acts as supplier of components and systems but also as a driving force, providing input in developing innovative HVAC products and solutions, based on its extensive automation expertise. “Our customers can decide precisely to what extent they wish to utilise our skills: Beckhoff covers the whole range, from software development with custom software libraries of complete engineering tools (TwinCAT Building Automation)," said Georg Schemmann, Business Manager Building Automation at Beckhoff. With this combined know-how significant competitive advantages can be created. Needless to say, the system integrators also benefit from smart solutions – for example through faster and easier commissioning and maintenance.
“Our partner concept, which we used to exemplify our expertise as a partner in the field of HVAC automation, attracted a lot of interest. Naturally, we were also present at the trade show booths of our partners. In this way, we managed to expand our networking in this sector even further," said Georg Schemmann.
