The EPP1518 EtherCAT P Box with digital inputs acquires binary control signals from the process level and transmits them, in an electrically isolated form, to the controller. The signal state is displayed by light emitting diodes. The signals are connected via M12 screw type connectors. The input filters can be set between 0 and 100 ms via EtherCAT. Inputs 0 and 4 can be used as 32-bit up/down counters.
The sensors are supplied via the control voltage US in two groups of four sensors each. Any short circuits on the sensor side are detected and reported to the controller.
