Beckhoff receives Windows Embedded Partner Excellence Award 2009

For the second year in succession, Microsoft presents Beckhoff with the Windows Embedded Partner Excellence Award

Beckhoff, manufacturer of PC-based automation components and systems, received the Windows Embedded Partner Excellence Award in the Enterprise Partner category for its innovative and creative application of Windows Embedded technology. This is the second year in succession that Beckhoff has received this award. The Windows Embedded Partner Excellence Awards are given annually and recognise visionary organisations around the world that use Windows Embedded technology in innovative and creative ways to drive business results.

This year two German companies are among the 21 prize winners from around the world. Along with Beckhoff, the German company Elektrobit Automotive Software also received an award.

Over the past 12 months Beckhoff has confirmed its leadership and expertise in the area of PC-based automation components and systems by achieving outstanding results, including development of TwinCAT automation software, enabling real-time control systems to be realised under Windows XP Embedded and Windows Embedded CE, and “Schtick Pendulum”, which demonstrates the real-time capability of Windows Embedded CE 6.0 and the range of Windows Embedded technologies.

"We’re pleased to recognise Beckhoff’s expertise and original approach to open automation systems based on PC Control technology” said Manoj Rami, Senior Marketing Manager, Windows Embedded Business Group, Microsoft Corporation. “We are proud to present the Windows Embedded Partner Excellence Awards to Beckhoff and other partners which are using technology in an innovative and constructive way, to benefit others.”

Beckhoff has been a Microsoft Windows Embedded Gold Partner since November 2006. This label is given to Windows Embedded partners that are committed to contributing to the partner ecosystem to drive business and innovation.

In April this year Beckhoff employee Stefan Hoppe received the Microsoft MVP Award 2009 for his personal commitment to the Microsoft community, becoming one of the 87 MVPs in the field of Windows Embedded worldwide.
