Second meeting of Leading-Edge Cluster it' s OWL for key project ScAut (Scientific Automation)

The second full project meeting of the joint research project ScAut (Scientific automation): “Integration of engineering findings in standard automation”, the key project of the Leading-Edge Cluster it's OWL, took place on Thursday, 12 September 2013 at Beckhoff Automation. Representatives of the industrial and university partners Schirmer Maschinen GmbH, Hüttenhölscher Maschinenbau GmbH & Co. KG and IMA Klessmann GmbH as well as Heinz Nixdorf Institute presented the progress of their work to the project sponsor and the cluster management. First promising results are available for Condition Monitoring applications. Short and long-term analyses of machines and plants currently carried by the project partners indicate optimisation potentials in terms of energy and time savings.
